This Eid Fitri festive, I’m trying something new.
I’m starting to write in English now, not because my Indonesian has run out of things to say, but because I think it’s time to open a new door. English has been part of my professional life for years, especially in the communications world I’ve been living in. It feels right, then, to let it into this space too. A place where I’m allowed to stumble, figure things out, and call it a learning process.
There’s also something honest I should admit since not many of my old friends read this blog anymore. And that’s okay. Maybe writing in English is a small way of restarting, finding new readers, or simply finding a new version of myself worth writing about.
Now, the real confession: this post exists because I only slept three hours last night *grinz*. I stayed up to watch Man Utd play, endured every agonizing minute of it, and they ended up with a draw. A draw. The kind of result that doesn’t let you feel anything cleanly, not joy, not despair, just this low hum of “well, that happened.” Sleep, naturally, was no longer an option after that *phew*.
So here we are. One sleepless night, one new beginning.
Let’s see how long I can keep this up hahaha.
Selamat hari raya, teman-teman. Mohon maaf lahir & batin. ?
